As a staff we are committed to valuing diversity, honoring students, faculty, and staff from all racial, religious, and ethnic identities, sexualities, gender identities, and disability conditions.

Our vision is a university where all students are empowered

to reach their personal, academic, and career goals.

What We Offer

We are experiencing a high demand for counseling services this semester.
We are able to see most students for a same-day-as-requested initial
appointment, and the wait for an on-going appointment can be around
two weeks. Any student experiencing a mental health crisis will be
seen same-day, usually within an hour of requesting an appointment.
Please know that we will try to schedule an on-going appointment for you
as quickly as possible after your first time walk-in appointment.
We can also work with you to connect you with counseling resources
in the community if you need long-term counseling or special services.
If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact us
at counseling@umn.edu or by phone at 612-624-3323.
Thank you for your understanding.
