UCCS Testing Center

Welcome to the UCCS Testing Center.

We are located in 9 Eddy Hall, lower level, Room 9, near the vending machines.

Our center offers nationally standardized high stakes exams, institutional exams, counseling assessments & inventories, and proctored distance learning exams in both paper/pencil and computer-based formats. The links below provide information about specific testing services.

ETS Computer-Based Testing

** CLOSING JUNE 30, 2011 **

The University of Minnesota UCCS Test Center is an ETS Institutional Test Center and offers the following exams. We have ten seats, and they fill quickly during the busy fall testing cycle. Register early for the best selection of test dates and times. We offer two test sessions, a morning session from 8:00 AM to noon, and an afternoon session from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

  • GRE (Graduate Record Examination) General Test
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
  • PPST (Pre-Professional Skills Test, also called Praxis I)
  • MCAT (Medical College Admission Test)

ACT Center Testing

** CLOSING May 27, 2011 **

The University of Minnesota UCCS Test Center is also an ACT Center. The following are the most common exams given, but for the complete list of exams available, check the ACT Centers website.

•  ASWB (Association of Social Work Boards)

•  FSOT (Foreign Service Officer Test)

•  ASE (Automotive Service Excellence)

•  COMPASS (COMPASS Placement testing for other schools)

  • CWW - Castle World Wide offers a wide array of certification exams. We are a CWW PASS test site and offer their exams Monday through Saturday.
  • ISO Quality Testing - IQT offers a wide array of certification exams. We are an IQT Test Center and offer their exams on Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday.
  • Kryterion - offers a wide array of certification exams. We are a Kryterion HOST test site and offer Kryterion exams on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday.
  • The new Minnesota Teacher Certification Test coming soon!

Distance Testing

If you are taking a distance learning, correspondence, on line or telecourse from another school, and need your exams delivered in a secure proctored environment, we can administer your exam.

Counseling Inventories and Assessments

The UCCS Test Center offers a variety of psychological assessments and career or interest inventories to UCCS customers. These assessments are NOT available to the general public, and can be taken by referral ONLY.  You must have a referral from a UCCS counsleor or other approved professional to take these assessments and inventories. Online registration available soon.

For your convenience, the University of Minnesota UCCS Test Center now offers fast and secure online registration for the exams listed below. There is an additional $3 charge from RegisterBlast, our online payment processing provider.   All online registrations are final and no refunds will be given.

  • ACT-Residual
  • CLEP
  • MAT
  • Distance Learning Exams
  • OPI, ACTFL Oral Proficiency Exams in 37 languages. If you need to prove fluency in speaking a language, this exam will verify your skills.

The payment options for registering online are Visa, MasterCard or electronic check.

If you are registering a family member for a test, please fill in all information areas with the participant's information rather than your own name, email address, etc. We are aware that the credit card or checking account used for payment may not be in the participant's name.

Upon successful registration, you will receive an email confirmation. Print your confirmation receipt and bring it with you on your test date.

IMPORTANT: If you do not receive an email confirmation, there may be a problem with your registration or you did not enter a valid email address. If you do not receive an email confirmation, check your spam blocker.
