Test Prep Resource Center

Please Note: After May 9th, resources in the TPRC will be moving from the current Eddy Hall location over to the SMART Learning Commons (Walter Library location). PLEASE NOTE: SMART LC (Walter) is currently under renovation and will not be opening until later this summer (2008). Because of construction, SMART LC is not able to make appointments for TPRC resources at this time. Please check back to this site for information on when resources will become available or contact SMART LC for updates.

The Test Prep Resource Center (TPRC) offers University of Minnesota students and non-university students access to a variety of test preparation materials. Our center consists of computers on which students may take practice tests as well as a library of reference and resource guides for the various tests offered.

The TPRC offers the following tests:

  • Graduate Records Exam (GRE)
  • College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • National Council Licensure Examination for Nursing (NCLEX-RN)
  • Millers Analogy Test (MAT)
  • Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT)
  • PreProfessional Skills Test (PPST)
  • Law School Admissions Test (LSAT)
  • Dental Admissions Test (DAT)
  • Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB)

Spring 2008 Hours

Monday: 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday: closed
Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Thursday: closed
Friday: 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: closed

Please Note:For the week of Spring Break - 03/17 to 03/21/08, the TPRC office will only be open on Wednesday the 19th at its regular time (8:00 am -  12:00 noon).  Regular hours will resume the week of March 24th.

Walk-ins are accepted when the center is open; however, to ensure an open computer, it is best to call and schedule an appointment at 612-626-0444.

There is a $15 fee for use of the Test Prep Resource Center.
For this amount, University of Minnesota students have unlimited access to all test materials for the duration of the semester. Non-university students are limited to 4 sessions but may purchase three more sessions for an additional $10. For an added $10, non-students may also have access to the DISCOVER program in the Career Development Center.
